Default Cervini Concept Hood Ram Air Question

In the never ending task of creating my "realistic" vs. "optimal" mod wish list (once I finish the lists, I start buying), I - once again - have a question.

I LOVE the look of the Cervini Concept Hood, and the idea that it can be made into a functional Ram Air hood just makes me love it even more. That having been said, however, here come the questions.

#1: Will the Ram Air kit work with a C&L Cold Air Intake?
Looking at the installation instructions for the Ram Air, there are some modifications to be made to the stock airbox, and then that allows their Ram Air component to attach and feed air in. But considering the CAI is of a different configuration, has a heat shield, etc. will these components even work together?

#2 If I can make it work with my CAI would there really be any benefit?
I suppose anything could probably be adapted to fit almost anything, but would I get any benefit? Or would it hinder the CAI in some way? And does the Ram Air really even provide any benefit on a stock Mustang, or is it just being able to say, "Yes, those scoops are functional!", which does count for something.

As always, thank you!
Cheers!

I'm sure it would work, but instead of shoving air into the filter, you will simply just providing colder air to the element's surrounding area.

I would imagine that you could fabricate something that would work, but I got it just for the looks, and to help vent heat.

As far as making it fit, sure that wouldnt be that hard.

As far as if you will see any additional HP? Well probably nothing significant but you will have a more direct path for ambient are so potentially yes.

The only thing I would worry about is water in the rain. wouldnt want to end up soaking you filter.

As bad as this sounds, I can't remember exactly how the stock airbox was set up when I removed it, but wouldn't you have a similar potential for water with the stock filter as well? I know the instructions for the Ram Air install have you drill out the water drain hole in the stock airbox and make it larger for this reason.

This is going to serve as a *bump* too, because I'm still curious about this.

Thanks again!
