Some of us still have too much after the trade.

Anyway, I keep my OEM antenna for fencing[8D].

Ok, the original on the Mustang IS the SAME as the one on my Explorer. It looks ok on the truck.
I went with the 14" from american Muscle for the Mustang.
Kept that black stocker for pole vaulting and in case i needa replacement for the truck.... or if I get tired of the silver on the truck, I can change it to black.
Oh yeah, and the 14" looks much better than the orig with all that wire wrapped around it....
no change in reception, but I am near NYC

That looks great! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought about getting the shorty antenna, but I still thought it stood out a bit; so I deleted it completely. I used a Metra Amplified antenna. The radio works even better then before. The antenna is glued to the inside of the windwshield and you can't see it at all.

here are instructions.

I got the 14" antenna from American Muscle a long time ago, reception is good but I use CD's and SAT most of the time. Just Do Not drive thru the car wash with it on, it will bend all the way down. But I just took mine off and it was pretty easy to straighten it out.

Most people don't know about the 3.5" shorty I have on my car. It gets good reception and its a quality piece made of billet alum and available in chrome or powdercoated black like mine. It screws right on without the need for any adapters. I got it on eBay for $25.

To me, a car without an antenna is clean but lacking. One with a 8 inch one or shorter looks like it was broken off. I went with the 14 inch because it matches the roof line.
