I've got a stock hood and I can see it shaking...

I know it's normal but it is very unnerving. I took the car "off the clock" last Summer and the hood stayed pretty calm except for one shimmy, for a pregnant second I thought the bitch was going to come off [] Talk about it being time to get out the gas !

I have never seen mine shake, I've been 100+ probably 15 times and 140+ two times. Must be a lucky one or must not be paying enough attention to my hood

It must be that damn cold temperature
Seriously, it is a common problem and with adjustment of the rubber stops under the hood you can seriously reduce or get rid of it. Hood pins are great. I never had shake with my stock but when I get to 100 range with the new hood, I feel that hood pins will be my friend.

Really should not happen. Like giddyupgo said, open your hood. There are two rubber hood stops near the front of your engine bay. Theylook like little rubber colums. Give them a half turn counter clockwise to raise them and then close the hood. That should take out some of the play and provide a tighter fit.
Mine did that when I bought it and it freaked me out. That was the first 'search' I did on this forum.
