yeah my cousins 08 gt the fog lights side markers and tal lights stay lite along with the interior light for like 30 seconds
mine only the side markers and tail lights light up for 1 sec and then turn off but the interior light does stay on.. what causes this?? answer that and you the horsepower fairy will magically add another 50hp to your car over nite!!!

some have daytime runing lights
and some early 05's can roll down the windows with the fob
you most likely can't add this to the 06 it might also be a change in the SJB

Yea, we got it. It's a security feature so you can see if the booger man is by your car when you go out to it at night.

07 here, My headlights, tail lights and marker lights come on when I unlock it, I think it is a theft deterent or something as your walking to your car, as I also have the Anti Theft Option on mine.
They flash and go out when I lock it

It's called Perimeter Lighting. Not available for the '06's.
In the 06 owners manual go to:
Locks and Security / REMOTE ENTRY SYSTEM / Illuminated Entry. Page 70.
The '06's will not light up the headlights when unlocking the car, only interior lights.

It's part of the Active Anti-Theft option. Mine has it. The active anti theft does other neat stuff like:
- incline sensor that sounds the alarm if your car is put on an incline (towed or car jacked)
- interior motion sensor that sounds horn (stick your hand in the open window, bam, horn blows, fun at car shows!)
- and, as you found, when you unlock the doors, the head, tail, and interior lights come on
If you car is not doing it, check your window sticker to see if your car came with that option. My window sticker is framed in my study.
BTW, where's my 25HP? I'll accept a check for the amount required to gain that! [8D]

You forgot, if they break the window and reach in and open the door with the handle the car goes off so to speak.
