My gas pedal had some slack before the sensor recognized pedal travel; made smooth shifting extremely hard. There's a thread on the modular forums about it. I put a spacer in there & now my throttle responds correctly and makes shifting smoothly much easier. I wouldn't mind tweaking the clutch engagement...

Edit: this was after I got an intake & tune which got rid of some of the poor response.

I thought it was just me... First manual car ive owned. i feel like an a$$ but i had an easier time on my hubby's 88 with center force clutch when i was learning.

I did the mod that slide is talking about, i noticed a slight difference and the tune helped too. But i still want a new clutch.
