Simple question: Where to get PAINTED Ford OEM side scoops?
Before I go through a long process for something so simple, i was wondering if any of you guys knew where to find these.
Don't be fooled because there are plenty of knockoffs, such as marketing side scoops as "Ford Mustang" but not having them be made by Ford even and just wrongly branding similar 3d carbon ones. If any of the people here that paint parts with good quality would like to help incase I can't find these I'd like to know too. |

The only difference between the ebay ones and the real ones is the real ones have clips in addition to tape, which gives a piece of mind to people like me who dont like the idea of tape holding something on...
But, $$$ taken into consideration, I would save money and go with an ebay one. |

Yeah but you see I'm picky and even without knowing much about the part you can tell they are a little off.. this is because when copying the ford part the people made it either too big or too small, a lot of the parts also have stickers instead of inserts and the flanging is not cut off such as in this pic: http://i20.ebayimg.com/06/i/000/c8/29/d7c3_1.JPG The quality is in the details.. |

I couldn't find the real ones painted anywhere, including ebay. I emailed quite a few ebay auctions and they all responded that they were "CS style" which basically means they are the ones with the flange above.
I ended up ordering mine from partscheap.com for $191 shipped and they're sitting on my floor waiting to be painted. For the record, I had 2 shops quote me about $100 to paint them. |
