Yeah, we had a really good time...we drove in at like 3:00 am on saturday and then got up at like 7:00 am and headed over to the track...spent practically all day there and then went back to the hotel...slept, woke up at like 8:00 am and drove home, lol...needless to say we were tired But I would do it all over again though, it was awesome...

SO why is it that all the RACE stangs have those rimes on them?

And yeah pretty cool, that orange and black one with the hood open has the new 5.0 DOHC cammer engine. I sort of think that engine is the future for the mustang or the GT500.
edit: after an Ebay search.... the fr500-c rims, the real thing, cost over $1K per wheel!

I was sad to see that none of the stangs finished the race. They werent running that great. I could not believe how well those Rx-8's were doing. When I lived in Daytona I went to the Rolex every year. I think I might have to go back for next years.

S197s look killer in race trim!
An RX8 took the GT class. Next best thing to a Ford I guess. I actually thought about one before I bought my Mustang, but I think they're a little over priced.
Grand Am > NASCAR! I wish road racing got as much coverage as the driving-in-a-circle stuff. Miss the Trans Am series.

Yeah I wish we had a better showing as well...but as far as endurance goes I think stuff like rotaries and smaller engines just end up doing better for one reason or another...but those Cammer motors are bad@$$
