When I installed my CAI it made the throttle response much better compared to stock! I am still skeptical about tuners though. Are there any risks associated with them? I mean we are dealing with the cars computer system here..

you can clear it yourself,,hook up the usb and go to sct's site download the program then clear it.."i've done this twice" also you can get 2 tunes for $50.00.

Who writes tunes for 25 each....dougs is $50 right now, brenspeed is $75 and VMP is also $50?

ask the original owner and if that doesnt work
youmight be able to get brenspeed to sendyou a tune for it for your car

Everyone thanks for the replies. I just called back the Ebay store up in Chicago and told him the whole deal. I got this tuner and that it is locked onto the previous owners car. I told him this is practically useless to me and that I wanted to send it back. He agreed and told me to send it back and that they will take care of it on his end. Thankfullyhe's going to give me my money back on my credit card. This is the last time I am going to buy a programmer off of Ebay like this. From now on I am going to get a tuner from Brenspeed or Bamachips. Live and learn I guess.

Actually there is a risk when installing some of the after-market CAI's and not adjusting the tune on the car's computer system to compensate if there is a change in airflow.
