Actual weight savings with rear seat delete?

Seriously now. lets say you use americanmuscle's or MMR's seat delete. Has anyone recorded the actual weight of what was taken out of the car, minus the weight of what it was replaced with?

When I removed the rear seats to install my SHR louvers, it didn't wait mutch at all. I'd say 18 lbs is about right.

I have to say the rear seats are probably less than 18#'s...

The lower cusion part weighs just a couple pounds and is very light. I don't know about the rear seat back as I didn't remove that when I did my amp wires.

I wouldn't think you save more than 20# with it if that. I'd much rather have a rear seat than less than 20# off.

the bottom seat weighs 11 lbs, I didnt weigh the backs, but I will in the morning. I am using colored aluminum sheetmetal instead of buying a kit for mine

I actually didn't think about the removal of the rear seat backs, but I know they are made of plastic, so I can't imagine a huge weight savings even including that into the mix...
