Yes the cowl has been changed slightly. This hood will also apparently be in an uncoming movie on a Mustang

i have a question. the louvers on top of the hood, is there anything to stop water from getting on the motor??

Nope. In general it hasn't been a problem but some people have fabricated little deflectors to keep water from going places they don't want it.
