gas cap is rubbing

Default gas cap is rubbing
when i open my gas cap it rubs agains the fender a little each time and is wearing down the paint. how can i adjust it

maybe its bent a little or take it off and see if you can adjust it

Ummmm, why not just remove the plastic tether that it's on?

where do people put the cap with no "tether" when filling up?I have a similar issue but only when its <20F outside and not willing to cut it quite yet.

I lean mine up agains my billet door and resting on the pump. That way I can't forget to put it back on when I remove the pump head.
