Default Mobile 1 Oil Change

How much is it suppose to cost. I got an oil change for 60 bucks just wanna know if it was a good price or not. Also the car seems louder and running better for some reason. Is it just me?

It's just you. It would have cost you around $32 if you did it yourself.

"Not." You can do an oil change yourself using Mobil1 and a Motorcraft filter, both from Wal-Mart, for about $35. Of course, I wouldn't know what an oil change costs these days since I haven't paid to have one done in over 20 years.

Louder? I think it's in your mind. But going to a good full synthetic has been know to cause people to say their carruns... "quieter"... "smoother"... "faster"... and other terms like that.

I just started letting the dealer do mine. They use their motorcraft filter and semi synthetic whatever oil and they only charge me 28 bucks.

I was doing it myself, using a full synthetic and a fram filterand it was costing mewell over 40 bucks.

You deserve to over-pay simply for using a Fram filter! (uh oh, here it comes...)

I used FRam and Pennzoil for ever. Always got over 100,000 miles on rigs with no oil useage. Then traded em in an new. I've read all the anti Fram stuff but what gives? The proof is in the pudding.

With the price and availability of Motorcraft filters (one of the best filters), why would anybody buy a Fram filter (one of the worst filters)? Choose wisely.
