Finally got my CAI and tune!.........then the bad news.
hey all,
last night wasnt the greatest time of my life, although it should have been...
i finalyl received my steeda CAI and SCT 93 octane tuner in the mail, and spent no time waiting to install it.
after an hour or so of tinkering in the garage it was all set up and ready to rip.
took it out on a main road nearby and did a couple pulls, loved how it pulled. but i took it too far. I decided to aviod traffic and found a back road around 630 at night (dark outside obviously). The street had no lights, but i knew the road relatively well, so i decided to give it some gas. not remembering the 90 degree turn up ahead, i headed in at about 45-50 (on stock tires, in a 35 zone) and found myself in a load of trouble. Sliding into the other lane the car seemed to be in the clear, until of course a car appeared in front of me.....
the only way to avoid the head-on was to veer left, which tossed me over a ditch, through a fence, and destroying a small tree completely. I also managed to clip the car i was avoiding, broke his leadlight lens....
luckily no one was hurt and i felt like a complete idiot...still do, however everyone came out without a scratch (except my car), and no cops were called.
I managed to break both headlights, rip off my front pass. bumper, destroy both fenders, tear out part of the wheel well, and slap a large ding on both the driver's A pillar and rear quarter panel.
obviously ive learned my lesson, say what you want, i realize how dumb it was now, and have to suffer the consequences.
ill post pics later.....still sulking in my woes about it it.

Be thankful that it wasn't worse than you described. You REALLY must be careful going into turns with your new found power. Good luck with the repairs......what really sux though is you can't blame anyone but yourself......
