RE: Do you use mp3's in your headunit?
I could never figure out how to burn my cd's onto my computer and turn them into mp3 format. I could only use windows media player to burn in regular format..like 16 songs max on a cd. Any ideas?

I do all the time. I've got two CD's in there right now with a couple hundred songs. Sounds fine.
I would recommend 128kbit or 192 if you can. that should make each song about 5-6 MB's. I use a program called CDex (freeware on the web) and ripped all of my CD's to a little shared drive on my home network. From there I just grab what I want and burn a "data" CD using Windows XP. Slap the CD in and it works. If I get tired then I make a new one. I think the MP3 interface is pretty decent. Not the best but it works just fine and have not had any problems. You don't want to buy the cheapest CD-R/CD-RW's out there. Get a good brand like Maxell or something.
IMO, the primary benefit is you don't leave and iPod or whatever in your car to be stolen. So, if someone were to break into my car they're gonna take my sunglasses and that's about it. Not too mention, I don't think the stang has a true MP3 interface. I haven't tried it but it looks like it's just a jack to pump music through unless you get aftermarket parts.
