So here is my experience with Americas Tire, aka Discount Tire...

3 months ago I go in and purchase a set of Nitto 555s to go on my American Racing Shelby Torque Thrust wheels.

They mount the tires and in the process they mess up the rims on the two front wheels, so they have to pay to have them polished out. ($110.00 per wheel)

Last week I get a nail in the left front tire and it can't be repaired, so I go in and order a new one, under the warranty, and they install a "loaner tire" in the meantime.

After it has been installed for a couple of days I notice they installed it with the rotation going the wrong way. (great job guys!)

Yesterday I go back in and have the new tire installed and they screw up the rim on the front left wheel AGAIN!

All the while they are trying to tell me it is curb rash.

I point out in clear and concise language that.... 1. It is on the left side, curb rash is almost never on the left side... 2. It was perfect before they installed the wheel because I checked since they screwed it up the last time... 3. There was no scuff on the tire, which always occurs before the rim can touch the curb... 4. They screwed it up the first go around and they did it again!

So....they are going to pay to repair the wheel AGAIN!

NOT Happy with Americas Tire and I will never go back to them again. I wouldn't let them change the tire on my wheel barrow!

Nice...although I would suggest limiting your hatred to the one location and not necessarily making it a blanket boycott......but I definitely hear you though...

I'm sorry you had problems but in Discount Tires defense I've had more tires & wheels installed by them than you will have in a life time without ANY problems.

"Hatred" is such a strong word. I would rather be perceived as having a softer emotion, like "disgust", or "no confidence". Hate is reserved for Al Quida, or Hillary!

my buddy just ordered 315 Nitto DRs from them and they told him 1 week max. 3 weeks later he finally got them after he called them to see where his tires were and they said they didnt know.

But anyways I ordered me some eagle f1s from them today. things happen and what it sounds like at your local discount tire is just bad customer service. Maybe there is a hotline you can call to get them in trouble.
