Thanks for the info!!

No cost, just time. As long as the car was ordered with availability, apparently part of the Active Anti Theft option.

yes you are right. i just went to the dealer and told my mec friend about the feature. they didnt even know about it. so we hooked it up to the computer and he went to the mod setup then door locks and it was under global access. mine was disabled so we enabled it and sure enough it worked. hold down the unlock botton no the fob and the windows go down. if you touch the button again while they are going down they stop. they wont go up with the fob but the key in the door works for up or down. also about 30 sec after you set the alarm with the windows down the motion sensors in the car set off the horn if yoou put your arm in the car

Page 65 in your owners manual. Top of the page.:
Opening all windows ( if equipped )
You can open the vehicle's windows by using the door key or unlock control on the remote entry transmitter.

Press and hold the unlock control on the remote entry transmitter, or turn the key toward the front of the vehicle and hold it for more than two seconds to begin to open all the windows. Pressing any button on the remote entry transmitter, or returning the key to the center position will stop all motion.

NOTE: Your vehicle must be equipped with the active anti-theft system, the ignition must be in the 1 ( OFF/LOCK ) position and the accessory delay feature must not be activated in order for this feature to operate.

Closing all windows ( if equipped )
NOTE: This operation is only available using the door key in the driver door lock cylinder.

You can close the vehicle's windows by using the door key.

Turn the key toward the back of the vehicle and hold it for more than two seconds to close all the windows. Releasing the key to the center position will stop all motion.

NOTE: Your vehicle must be equipped with the active anti-theft system, the ignition must be in the 1 ( OFF/LOCK ) position and the accessory delay feature must not be activated in order for this feature to operate.

I went to my dealer and I was told that Ford discontinued this feature as of 1/3/05. So they could not do anything for me. Any suggestions?

Go to the dealer and tell them to plug in the diagnostic computer and turn the feature on. If they refuse to do it go to another dealer. My car and most other recently built mustangs had the same feature turned off from the factory. I told my dealer about when I picked up the car and they had it corrected the next day.

That's funny, my car has a build date of 1/7/05 out of Flat Rock and the feature WAS activited when I purchased the car. I did not have to go back and have it turned on. I would call the BS flag!

They are pulling your chain, my build date was 3/05 and I had the dealer do it last tuesday. It was kinda funny, everyone in the service department gave me strange looks as if i was crazy. They finally got the computer specialist, I told him "plug it in and it's under the body or doors menu", he gave me another strange look and said he'd try. 10 minutes latter, I saw him test it through the window.

Bring your owners manual and Insist they do it.
