Default Question regarding different shades of tint.

I'm going to get my windows tinted this Saturday, and have a question about it before I decide what percent to go for. If I used 20% on the driver and passenger windows, but 13% on the back windows and rear, would this create a noticeable difference in shades when viewed from the side? I wouldn't think that it would be very noticeable, but I don't really want to have the small rear windows looking alot darker than the front. Probably a stupid question, but just wondering.

Probably not really from the outside, there will be a difference in how well you can see through it, but all of that depends upon the ambient light soo... I say just go 20, or 13 all around, the difference isn't big enough to warrant doing both IMO. You can always roll the fronts down. Be sure to install moleskin BEFORE the tints! HTH

Thanks Burnsy, and yep, I just ordered some moleskin on Saturday, should be in just in time.

Regardless of the tint %, you should do the same all around. I think tint looks bad if its not the same. Just my .02

I'm kinda leaning that way, probably just go 20% all the way around.

Not a stupid question at all, but have you checked with your state laws? Some folks here have posted problems with inspections, cops, etc...

Yeah, it's below legal(35% is the law), but luckily nobody ever checks, and I've never heard of anyone here getting a ticket for it.
