Default shorty antenna

im gunna make my own from the stock on, how short can you go before reception gets effected. i listen to my radio alot but hate the tower they call a antenna

I don't know how short you can go before you start to lose reception, but I will say that I have the 8" Shorty Antenna and it works just as good. I live right on the Ohio River which means I'm in a valley and surrounded by hills, and I get just as good reception as I did before with the huge thing.

Why dont you just spend like the $20 and buy one from americanmuscle.com? So its done rite n also looks good.

I have the 14" and don't notice any reduction in reception. I've heard some with the 8" say their reception sucks and others that say otherwise.

Believe it or not my 3.5" has good reception though I don't listen to the radio much... in fact I can't remember the last time I had it on.
