Those are plain muffler deletes. They would sound like SLP loudmouths, which some people like and some dont. I like mine after a year now, but am growing a bit tired of them. Do a youtube search, theres many clips of loudmouths.

As for legality it depends where you live. Many places require mufflers, some require certain sound levels, etc. Here in Arizona, for example, the law is that a "sound deadening device" is needed. So although theres no law stating a sound level, these would still be illegal since they aren't sound deadening.

Check your local state laws

That being said.... I use SLPs in arizona, and cops have never even looked in my direction. even with open pipes, we don't compare to some of the insanely loud cars and trucks in a city.

I have these exact ones. I love them. They beat the hell outta paying SLP prices. They are not to to loud but you definatly know you have changed your exhaust. I havent had any problems with noise and the cops(knock on wood)... They have a real nice gurgle to them when you lift off the throttle (not for sure what it would sound like with an auto)....

If you want and it is cheap you could make your own and it sounds just like you spent $400 on them that is what I did and I can't tell the difference and it only cost me $90. It is just an idea.
