Has anyone with an Automatic Tranny install a Bulkhead fitting like this in the side of their Tranny pan to screw a temperture sending unit in.

The other option is to remove the pan and have a Bung brazed in the side, but this is easier and I believe do-able. Just looking for comments??

You still need to remove the pan, either way.

Yes, but the Bulkhead way I've believe can be done very easlily at home if I don't have the brazing equipment nor wish to bring it to a shop to have it done. Have you done this before?
