Default Brenspeed/cutouts/N02/w/pics

Brenspeed/cutouts/nitrous/w/picsJust got back from a trip to Brenspeed to have nitrous and cut outs installed. I cant begin to tell you how impressed I am with these guys, totally professional, knowledgeable and will go that extra mile to make everything perfect. Prier to my trip there I had already purchased and installed their tunes/CAI and could not have been more impressed. Now after meeting everyone there and seeing their dedication to customer service and the quality install they did for me,,,,well I just cant say enough.

Lets start with the nitrous. I was very concerned about the location and looks of having four switches installed in the cab, (arm, heater, purge and cut out) as you can see in the first set of pic's this has got to be the cleanest install ever for nitrous. Seth worked everything out with speed-of-sound prior to my arrival and even had the plate engraved! Yes, I lost a cup holder but IMHO a small price to pay. The other pic's will show the location they chose to mount everything. What you cant see in the pic's is the attention to detail in the wiring and tubing that had to be run, all enclosed and SAFELY out of site. One of the guys (Dave) even went after hours to get a part to extend the purge to the location I wanted it mounted to. I wanted the spray to come out of the mouth of the emblem on the front grill. I took my SCT with me and they programed a nitrous tunein it for me before I left.

Now for the cutouts. First let me say that the cutouts for me are just plain fun. I wont know if I will get any extra HP out of them until I have a dyno (at Brenspeed of course) in the spring. I can tell you if you want that ear numbing old school sound from your car, at a touch of a button, this is the way to go. I hadn't even made it home from Indiana before I put them to good use at a stop light. There are many e-cuts on the market....but there is only one that I would ever recommend... DMH performance. I have seen the others and they just cant compare in quality and workmanship. They have two styles and I chose the in-line because I didn't want anything mounted lower than my exhaust. Another plus is they already have a 22 degree down turn built right in when mounted at 90 degrees to the pipe, so no need to have a pipe fabricated to get the right angle. The guys atBrenspeed weren't to sure about installing these, in fact I felt they were going to try to talk me out of doing it...that is until they saw them...they all agreed this is a precision part and after the installand listening to them I wouldn't be surprised to see a seton oneof the beautiful Brenspeed Mustangs. I chose to mount them behind the cats after the first bend as to afford a little back pressure and to pass the sensor instead of mounting them before the cats. As you cansee from the location it is a perfect fit and allows the motors to be positioned to the rear of the car. Again, attention to detail withBrenspeed, finding the best location for the cut-outs and all the wiring protected from heat, heck they even painted in a few places for protection.

So a big thanks to Brent,Seth, Dave and everyone at Brenspeed

Enjoy the pic's,

YES, I know the car is dirty, it's freezing here in Michigan and I am an old man, I aint going out to wash it.

Break it up in paragraphs and someone might actually read what you took the time to write.

That nitrous setup looks good. I'm looking into installing a zex kit soon. Harley, what did they have to do with the purge? Just get a longer line? Where do the wires run to the sos gauge? Looks good.

How loud are the cut-outs going to be after the stock cats? I thought about it, but them cats quiet the exhaust something fierce!

Nice ......How long did the Install take, and the cut-outs weren't part of a normal Zex install .....right?

brad281--just had to get a longer line

CataclysmGT--Your right its not like open headers at idle, maybe 5x as loud but give it some gas and ..oh man...
I am going to try and do a video this weekend so you can hear the sound.

Onf1r--anything over 75 shotyou must have a tune and colder plugs, the colder plugs are a good idea anyway

Bluestar--the cutouts took less than 2 hrs to install.
