Stipes FTW! IMO it is something that you need to do for you, there are many choices and combos of stripes and or colors that you can play around until you find something that works for you. If you like them or would like to try then go for it. It is good to hear a few opinions that can help you deside but remember thats all they are good or bad. (OPINIONS) In the end I always say if it makes YOU happy then jump all over it. Also make sure any critics are providing postive criticism and not just being jerks about it.. There is a big difference between saying something is " not your thing" and " I hate them, they suck etc"
If you go for them post some pics so we all can see um. I'm sure you can find something that works..

For Mustangs 05+, do you prefer stripes or no stripes?
I too would say go for stripes, though if you're going to paint them on, make damn sure you know what you want before painting them on. I've heard painted stripe quotes anywhere from 1200-2000, while you can get a good set of vinyl stripes for 200. Personally, I think silver stripes look sweet with the black.

Personally, I like them. That's the only reason to do them.
In my opinion, stripes don't stand out on the S197 at least, not anymore. That's because so many new Mustangs have them now. It's very common in my neck of the woods.
I've met a couple of people who thought it was a factory option and they don't even know anything about Mustangs, much less own one!
