Couple Paxton 1200 Questions
So after alot of thinking, I decided not to go with the turbo setup I was planning on and go with the paxton/vortech instead. Few reasons for that, turbo is over a grand more for and gets me in the same power range I'm looking for now and when I eventually get around to building my engine, likely 2 years from now, I'll want a bigger setup anyway.
Now before someone asks why I opted not to get a twinscrew instead, I don't need boost at 2k rpm, I have enough trouble with traction as is, secondly, I still will be commuting with this car until I build the engine so boost at 3k is more driveable for my purposes. Finally, around 420hp is all the power I want now, no need to get a whipple when I plan on switching setups in 2 years anyway.
Now on to the questions...
1) Where do I buy different size pulleys for the s/c?
2) Best place to buy the 1200 kit? Best price I've seen is $3500, don't think it gets much better than that

I WOULD JUST GET THE TURBO NOW AND RUN IT AT LOWER BOOST -- JMO

The paxton is just for 2 years, when I eventually build my engine I plan on adding a big turbo kit and ditching the s/c

I also didn't want to tap my oil pan.
If you still want a centri then I would look at brenspeeds vortech package. I looked into the paxton 1200, but there just wasn't many people using them and no one selling a kit for our cars with a tune. I could only find 1 05-up mustang using the 1200.
There are turbo kits available for $3500.

RE: Couple Paxton 1200 Questions
Sorry I have no input on your questions since I am a whipple guy.
But I wanted to make one suggestion.
If you know you want to build the motor up and run a turbo, why not save the money till then. You wont be able to sell the s/c for what you paid for it.
Trust me I know, it is the story of my life. I would always try and get away with a substitute that was a little less money. In the end I would always end up buying the nice one anyone and was out more money than if I had just done it right the first time. I say invest the money is some CD's (bank kind) and wait for the big build. It will be better in the end delayed gratification.
If you really want some more power just get a basic nitrous kit and run a 75-100shot and save the rest.
That is just my 2 cents, I know what it is like to have boost mania.
Good luck.
