i think it looks fantastic and don't think the $7k it all that bad... granted, i'm not in the position to be able to afford that extra $7... but if i could i would certainly consider it as a great way to differentiate my Mustang...

If I remember correctly, they said the kit would not replace the quarter panel... but just more or less be applying a fiberglass or some type of panel ontop of it. Which to me = No thanks.

That would explain the cheap price then...
I agree with you though: No thanks.

I think it looks fantastic but 7K is a lot of money. I'd go for it though if I had the cash.

You can't say it's not expensive because the material and labor costs justify the price. By that logic Bugatti Veyrons aren't expensive.

its a good look. reminds me of the late 60s to early 70s stangs. i think ford should come up with a knotch back and a fast back again someday. ours is kind of a mix between the two. as much as it cost to retool a new body style i dont expect ford to make any major changes to the basic design other than maybe some restyled bumpers. so that leaves this idea up to the custom shops and 7k seems like a respectable ballpark figure. a mod like that takes hundreds of hours of fabrication and finishing work.

I actually think it looks like someone just stuck a bunch of pieces onto the back of an otherwise nice Mustang. Why buy a sporty car if you are just going to add a bunch of dead weight to it.
Kind of reminds me of the 80s trend of sticking a bunch of stuff onto a 280z to make it look like a ferrari.
