Default Clutch is in

Today i put the Spec stage 3+ clutch and aluminum flywheel in. It only took me about 30 mins to get the tranny out.(work at a ford dealer I have all the proper toos and the lift )The tr3650 is a pretty easy unit to get out, took about the same time to get the tranny back in. The biggest problem was getting my exhaust re-aligned that took me about 2 hours cause the way its setup it bassicly goes together from the front all the way back so when i took the mid pipe out to get the tranny out it was just a nightmare to get everything perfect.
Over all im very happy with the stage 3+ all thou its not broken in yet and its snowing i can tell the diffrence it revs up faster with the flywheel, the pedel is slightly heavier, its just chattering alot since its not broken in yet but spec says that will go away after 500 miles.
The stock flywheel is so damn heavy compared to the aluminum one so i no with just that i freed up some power that was lost thru the drivetrain.

Ill keep the thread posted once it dries up to see how it performes

Nice, on the stage 3 how much more effort does it take to push it down? I do more Hwy driving but when i hit traffic its gridlock.

Its really not that hard slightly heavier then stock, id say the same effort jus a lil bit harder nuthin thats gonna make your leg hurt. I jus drove home in crazy dead stop traffic and wasnt bothered by it.

hammeron - yes i left the stock pilot bearing in, made sure there was nuthing wrong with it, then lubed it with hi temp bearing grease

vocoat - not problems in stop and go like you said its either on or off, no slipping whatsoever
its just chattering right now untill its broken in, spec says after 500 miles it will be fine but i already felt it getting better on the ride home.

I'm going to order the 2+, but with steel flywheel. Also looking at the ram clutches. Keep us posted about the chatter.

Excellent mod, do you know how much lighter the flywheel is compared to stock?
