Default Steeda Carbon Fiber inlet tube. WOW!

All I can say is WOW. I have been using the Saleen inlet tube and getting around 8-9 psi of boost and around 10 at redline. Just installed the Steeda Carbon fiber inlet tube went out driving and hit 12 pounds BEFORE REDLINE!!! I kept playing around and my boost is in fact all here. I could not believe how bad the Saleen inlet tube really is. From my experience I would not recommend The Saleen inlet tube to anyone

Was the original intake tube flexible? It looks like the stock Mustang one, which, under heavy throttle will partially collapse, causing less airflow.
A solid tube is the way to go!

Amazing!

I have just a regular Steeda CAI w/elbow. How did you get it to fit the Saleen? Did you buy motor mounts?

Also, isn't reaching 12 psi kind of a bad thing [&:]

P.S. That engine bay looks amazing.

Thanks everyone for the comments I'm pretty happy with it.

I did install lowering mounts a few months back. I've watched the inlet tube on the dyno and it never moved so I was pretty sure it never collapsed. It was still a huge pain to get it to line up correctly it wasn't a simple install. I've always used the saleen inlet tube and never had full boost so I kept throwing pulleys at it to get some more.

I would also like to add I normally see IAT's of 107 - 111 driving. Today is was going between 87 and 88!. I never had these good of numbers evenwhen itwasREALLY cold out.

How hard was it to install motor mounts?

We did the motor mounts the same time we did the exhaust so they were fairly easy. We also used a lift so I know that helped. Headers, OR xpipe, motor mounts and A-ARM bar took less then 4 hours.
