Default Just installed bbk long tube headers review and questions

i just picked up my car from the shop and they installed my LT's. first impression is the car sounds like a beast! the sound can scare kids, women, and sensitive men. anyway, first impression on performance is.....wow, my first and second gear is pretty useless, i'm still moving forward but spinning the whole way. might just be my imagination but i am satisfied. tubes are nice and shiny even with ceramic coat, clearance looks good and my mechanic said it didn't have any fitment issues. i did have a appointment for a dyno but i showed up a few minutes late and they rescheduled me till wednesday. i am going to the track sunday which sucks because i was going to scan the dyno sheets and email them to justin at VMP and he was going to make necessary adjustments and re-send me a tune. which brings me to my questions.

those of you with LT's did you have to retune? will retuning make that big of a difference? without a tune will i get a check engine light?

my current tune is from VMP which my car is tuned for just the intake and x pipe.

is it the same as posting pics? also do they make a shiny ceramic coating? because my headers look like stainless steel, but i ordered the ceramic and the box even stated that it was ceramic.

I don't have LTs on my curent Stang yet, but in the last three I owned I used LTs. They were all ceramic coated, and that finish will have a polished/stainless steel look to it.

i got the same LT's, all i did to tune was turn off the rear O2 sensors for the o/r x pipe and it was good to go, no CEL.
congrats on the LT's!!

yes you should get some additional tuning done with them but you can run them without you just wont be maximizing the gains yet.
