Largest tires (width/height) on non-lowered 17x8

How large have you guys gone with 17x8 wheels in the front/rear?

I've only gone bigger in the back have 275-50-17 with no problems and car is also lowered in rear with Roush springs.

How big for 18x8.5 Bullitts on Roush lowered Stang?
I have heard that 255/45-18s are the biggest you
can go in the front without the additional steering stops?

275-50/17 rear and stock 235-55/17 front, drives good and looks good!
