RE: Fuel Tank not filling up all the day - 07 Mustang
first time i filled my 08gt gas poured out cause i pumped it fast like i always do,you talk about freaking out,a brand new car gas all over the side i went in and ripped the clerks *** and he said that happens all the time on those cars, what a buttmunch. since then i just fill it as slow as i can and have no problems other then freezing my nuts off this time of year.

Well, I pulled up the TSB's for the 07' and didn't see any TSB's on the fuel. I have an appointment set up with the dealership tomorrow morning, but I'd rather just find a fix on my own and not deal with them.
Thanks for the responses. I knew I'd heard of similar issues on the forum.

That's because the TSB doesn't cover the 2007. We have the new style tanks that fix the problem.

I tried afterwards at another gas station, and it only filled up 19 cents before automatically stopping. Thankfully the clerk didn't make me pay it. lol
I'll try the upside down trick tonight after works, thanks!

Wait.....if it's a "new style tank that fixes the problem," why are we still having people who are having problems?

hey boochy, because of the way our
saddle tanks fill (drivers side first, then
the gas spills over to the other side), it
might be beneficial for you, to fill up
where the passenger side of your car, is
a little lower than the drivers side......
I agree on the angle of the car, I had a problem filling up once.
Now I always use the pump, that slightly angles the passenger side and front a little lower, nomore problems.

I was being sarcastic. Obviously it doesn't fix the problem. Hold the handle at the 2 oclock position and start it slowly.

Alright, so after work, I turned the handle sideways, and everything went okay. A minor inconvienance since I work Monday-Friday usually, so I don't have time to take it to a dealer.
Thanks for the advice everyone!
