Reflash for 3.73 gears

Reflash for 3.73 gears

Can Ford reflash my computer to compensate for the new gears, or do I have to get a chip? Im not ready to shell out the cash for a chip because Im not sure what mods I want to do in the future. I do want my speedo and odometer to be accurate, so I need to do something.

Suggestions?

Get a flasher. Ford won't do it for you unless they have a performance division service center as well. Plus you may want access to a dyno to do a complete retune. Ford won't have that.
