The airbag and panels are together. That is why you cannot go to Ford and just buy the IUP panels, you have to buy the passenger airbag section also, which costs alot of money. I inquired about this last year when I got my car, as it is just a base model with leather seats.I read somewhere someone talking about that you could remove the airbag from the panels, but I am not to sure where.

That looks like the Roush fog light button. I like where you put it! Mine is on the lower panel under the switch.

Thanks bro and geeez, you guys catch every little detail ha ha. Don't know how you picked that out in the pic. But yeah that is the fog light switch for the Roush as sdonaghey mentioned. It blends in perfectly there.

As for the vents, I painted them. Again it is about contrast, with the silver ring around the air/heat openings the black plays off that silver ring well. Before and after pic for you.


Sean-- Yeah, I spoke with my Ford parts peeps today and thats when I learned you cant get it on its own. That being the case I will have to swap someone that side with the airbag attached I guess if its to hard to remove without messing the airbag up. I have the pdf on how to remove it I think in my files so I will check on it. Last resort if the swap does not work I will just paint it like the vents and the gage pod.

I have removed the air bag in my ford truck. I would guess it is not so bad in the stang either. You have to disconnect the battery and letthe carset for a few minutes, then unbolt it and slide it out.
