Default Fluttering Sound at Higher RPM--below 45deg.

Does anyone experience any engine fluttering at higher RPM when it's cold out. I live in VA and the weather is 70 deg. one day and 40 the next so I have plenty of experience with this flutter (I guess that is the best way to describe it) sound when the temperature drops. Between that sound, and the various rattles that come with the Hurst shifter and the sound the leather seat makes rubbing against the console, I'm about to loose my mind.

I'm running B a m a 93 race tune, which I know is running rich by the black soot on the tips of the Stingers. I've tried the torque, and performance tune with the same result. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Does the flutter sound change with foot on or off gas? Does it happen at a certain MPH range?I ask because I have what I think is gear whine but it's more of a flutter sound, not a constant whine. And it does seem temperature dependent to me - I barely hear it in the spring summer, but in colder whether it's much more obvious. Here's a recent post about it: https://mustangforums.com/m_4472751/tm.htm

I have that extremely annoying metallic plate rattle when it's cold. It's the plate between the transmission and the engine...right behind the oil pan. I'm going to the dealer soon so they can fix it. It resonates around 2500-3500 rpm, but after the car warms up, it goes away.

Don't know if this is your "flutter" or not.

Here's a very extensive thread about it. https://mustangforums.com/m_3772748/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm

If you hate random noises you would hate my car. I know what parts are making the noises, I'm just too lazy to fix them right now (under car). It is too COLD. Right now it is -7 without windchill.

I have the same issue. Going to the dealer this week . Dealer says it's a TSB issue...
