Lift the rear or drop the front?

Lift the rear or drop the front?
I'd love to raise the rear end of my car after I get my wheels, but I was wondering what is the best way to get that 'raked' up look. Some friends told me to just drop the front end of my car, but I don't want to scratch my paint JUST INCASE i miss-calculate a parking curb or something. Any reccomendations? Thanks

I just want to 'emphasize' the rake a little...if that makes sense I just like the look of fatty tires on a 'raked' vehicle. I had an 04 and put on spring spacers to get a little rake...it was OK. I just don't want to half a$$ it this time

Bobby, even with the stock ride you gotta be careful. I managed to end up on a curb that was kinda high. Also, you gotta be careful where you ride so you don't bottom out. I was used to riding in my Explorer where it didn't matter. As for the look you want, I think this threat will help you out...

Didnt change the suspension or anything at all. Simply putting a certain size tire may give the look that you want. I'm thinking about doing it when I change my tires/wheels.

RE: Lift the rear or drop the front?
i have 295/45/18's on the rear.. with 245/45/18's up front.. (huge tire on the rear.. same size as on the lightnings).. and it gave it a little more rake..
i was considering lowering just thre front also.. give it that muscle car look thats for sure.. ask around on here.. alot of ppl buy a kit, and then just use the rears bc they want to level it out.. so someone might have the fronts that they will sell you cheap..
as far as being worried about hitting a parking block or whatever.. thats all part of driving a mustang/low car.. i back into spots about 90% of the time and prevents this from happening.. or just dont get so close to them when you pull up..
but i say lower the front on that b.tch!!

RE: Lift the rear or drop the front?
Thanks for all the advice. On my 04 (before it got totaled), I had 315s out the back with Torq Thrust rims and 245s in the front...I really miss that set up. Would spring spacers help at all? There's some I found online that claim to raise the a$$ end 2 inches. But I'm diffenantly going to wait until i get new shoes for my baby before messing with any of this. Thanks again!

you need to be carfull around obstacles regarless of what u do. if you need tohave some rake i would lower the front. it will have a better affect on your cornering ability. if you raise the rear it raises your center of gravity causing more body roll.
