Interesting reading hear. I`m a vette guy and pop over here every now and then to see what you guys are up to. Sorry to hear there is some anger torwards the vette guys. I never met a mustang person I didn`t like. To be honest never ridden in one of the newer GT cars so I`m not going to throw my 2 cents into this...

OP--- The manual cars all came with a 3:42 gear(MN-6 trans). And the Z06 also came with a 3:42 but the transhas slightly different gearing makes the car pull in first and second gear as if it were a 3.90 gear(M-12 trans) that would help explain some of the track times you mention. Also consider less drive HP loss because of the manual. Welcome to the corvette team sharp cars you have there...
