Joining the club in one week!
Well after a couple months of searching ads, the car I wanted just landed on my doorstep. I had been looking for a S197 GT.
An old friend read a post on a local message board and offered his car for sale. He had been leasing it for 2 years and wasn't able to afford it anymore and as such had no intention of buying it out. So he offered the car for the remainder of the lease + buyout.
The car is an 06 GT, Vista blue, black leather interior (charcoal?), 5 spd with 9,100 kms (~5K miles).
Mods include CAI + tuner, UDP, 4.1 gears. He is also giving me an aluminum driveshaft, steeda shifter and two stock rims w/ MT streets. The car is immaculate inside and out.
The price, $22,800 CDN + tax, total $25616. We went down to the dealer today to get the price and schedule a safety inspection (mandatory in my province). All and all, I think a really great deal. I was feeling so much love from him that I offered to give him my ASA wheels from my PGT (he has a PGT too).
I'll post some picture when I have possession. I already have all the uninstalled parts in my basement.
This is so sweet, I hope for many happy memories with you guys!

RE: Joining the club in one week!
welcome
sounds like a good deal. and that is a nice setup!
pics baby, PICS!
suggestion: run the car as it is and resist the temptation to get the shifter and the DS installed right away. Run it quite a bit so that you get the feel of it in its current form (CAI, UDP and 4.10's, right?) Then when you feel comfortable with it, have the short throw and DS installed. You will then have a greater appreciation for them and and your frame of reference for other mods will be widened.
