Pure Sexy Eye Candy! (56K Slayer)
Alright sportsfans. I took on a big project this past 3-day weekend to make my engine look pretty. I spent the past few weekends painting a set of valve covers andI also painted my fuel rails and my throttle body. I stripped them down with brake cleaner, sanded, primered, painted AND put on a liberal amount of clear coat.
I used DupliColor Engine Enamel that is good for high temps. Now no flaming, but I went with "Chrysler Hemi Orange" because it was the closest to "Burnt Orange" (Hook 'em Horns!) Here's a plethera of pics so ENJOY!!! And if anyone happens to want a set of painted covers, I'm willing to paint the set that I just took off (any color you want) and I'll trade them fully painted for a set of CMDP's....

Looks great! Now dress anything black on that motor to deepen the color and not look like it is still dirty? I use Zaino Perfect tire gloss....very different from Armor All and not greasy when dry!

Yeah it was still dirty...I had already spent about 20 hours over the weekend working on it and was BEAT! Plus I'm still holding out for those CMDPs and then I'll give it a GOOD clean with it torn down...
