If I remember right, that wasn't a 12V source so I couldn't use it for a turn on lead. Let me know if you find out differently.

I'll be testing with a 12v, pin "light tester" soon, that will tell me for sure. I just didn't want to be hunting aimlessly; at least I have a idea now.

I was thinking of going with the powered inside antenna that Odaiz has but I don;t really want to see it in the car and though I know he is very happy with the reception I just don't think I'll be happy until I get OE reception quality at a minimum. I've added the power antenna to my 61 fairlane and 65 vette and the reception is awesome (same as OE I would say). As much as I hate to drill the fender after having filled it, I want the OE reception back and the chrome power antenna is perfect 60's - 70's retro and quite trick the way it operates with the radio on/off. ...not to mention I'll have the only one like it (in the world ??? [8D]) and it makes good conversation at cruise nights.

Spring is coming here in the NE soon, so I gotta get going on this.

Hi Fairlane,

Sorry, it's been 2 1/2 years. I don't remember the color but it is 12 volt and it is only on when the radio is on. I'll try to do some research and see if I can find anything.

Thanks man, I know you don't want me to drill my fender but it's ok...it is a perfect 60s-70s look and honestly that would have been so cool had Ford done this on the 05+ stang. I forget... you have Shaker system?
