i drive an auto and i find that if you move out of P while it's still slightly fluctuating, it gives a hard thrust. so i jsut wait 2-3 minutes till it's good to go.

mine does that do. just around the 1000 area. one bar up, one bar down, does that for a little, then settles at around 500. pretty sure it's normal.
