my friend baught an 06 GT for a ford dealer over the weekend but when i looked at the data sticker in the drivers door it said it was made in 08/05? the dealer listed as 06? how to know for sure?

i have an 06 and most parts are compatable fro 05 to 06 but need to double check

It`s an 06. Ever notice how the new models come out in the fall?

If all else fails, you could read the title/registration

Yes, I believe all production after June 2005 were '06 models.

06 but yea, check the title. My 07 was made in 06. They start making the next year models in the summer sometime.

i picked up my 08 gt december 18th 2007.

Ford has a shutdown (2 WKS) to re-tool the lines for next years models in the beginning of July every year.....so it is an 06 model year!
