Both kits are good. I have had the KB on my 4.6L motor and have purchased a 2.8L KB for my 5.4 motor.

The deciding factor for me was that the shop I use specialize in the Kenne Bell blowers. Had they been specialists on the Whipple I might have gone the other way. If your not going to do the install yourself then make sure the shop you use is comfortable working with your choice.

+1
Tuning is the key.. And comfort level of the installer.

A guy once told me he has installed BOTH kits for the 05+ GT and he preferred the Whipple over the Kenne Bell. He said the Whipple kit was alot better thought out in design. I was also in the understanding that the Whipple had cooler IAT temps due to the current redesign.

If it's strictly between whipple and KB, I say Whipple. They have that cool little oil-level window, and yeah, I've heard some not-so-great stuff about KB's customer service, too.. Not returning phone calls, etc etc..

i'm biased to the whipple, mostly bc of the kit it comes w/ GT 500 fuel pump which is a very good fuel pump. and as far as sound goes, if you got a quiet exhaust maybe you can hear the whine, but with my setup at WOT i cant hear the whipple at all over the sonicboomtubes. but at normal driving i can hear some whine but not real loud.

Do the TS SC's make the nice idle whine like the Centrif SC's?

I never even considered the KB in my search. Partly because I didn't like the way it looked, it didn't come with spark plugs and chevy killer said it runs hotter than the whipple. I also don't like their fuel system solution. Juicing up the stock pump seems half-assed, but apparently it works well enough.

Most people want to know which makes more power, I couldn't have cared less. All the blowers make enough power for the street and stock motor.

That is hands down the best advice in this thread...

It doesn't matter what you know - it matters what your tuner knows...

I fall into that category (having both kits on my car) and I have also said I like the whipple better because it runs cooler plain and simple. Liter to liter though - I was able to make more power with the KB.

I am fortunate to have people in my corner who are specialists in both. If not, I would go the one my tuner has the most experience and knowledge with hands down without a second thought.
