+1

everyone seems to bash someone for asking the same ? again, but I havent seen the answer..

If I return to stock, and then they fix the problem, will putting the tune on again just undo the thing that they fix when I bring it in?

..brenspeed is away until march 4 for a thing in FL, so I can't ask them..

From what I've read they don't touch the PCM (Powertrain Control Module), they only touch the RCM (Restraint Control Module).

You shouldn't even have to return to stock.

This is correct you will just need to make sure you tell the service advisor to also NOT update the ECM.

You where told wrong.
SERVICE ACTIONDealers are to reprogram the Restraint Control Module using IDS (Integrated Diagnostic System) thatis updated with release (R53.7) P16 or later. This service must be performed on affected vehicles at no charge to the vehicle ownerAs far as de-tuning the car it is not nessicary i did mine myself today and just decided to return it to stock re-program the rcm then re-install my brenspeed tune but it is not nessicary since there not re-programing the PCM. I've also heard that they're not impacting the PCM, only the RCM.

If you want, you can return to stock, then uswe your tuner to obtain the "Strategy" and jot it down. After you return from the dealer, use your tuner to verify the strategy hasn't changed then reload your tune. If it HAS changed, you need your tune supplier send you new revised tunes.
