Over the years, I've owned both manuals and auto's, so I'm not looking for manual vs auto tranny opinions....what I'm hoping to get your help on is - I now plan to put a supercharger on an '06 GT auto. I'm leaning toward a Whipple or Roush. I was hoping to go with the HO intercooled whipple, but I'm getting mixed feedback on whether the tranny can hold up or even if whipple or Ford Racing has a tune for the auto with the 500hp kit. (since it depends on how much you drive/race it, I can say I'm not at the drags every weekend, probably several times a year and the occassional fun). Whipples website doesnt show the 500 kit for the auto, but they claim it's possible. Does anyone out there have either whipple kit (400 or 500) or the roushon an auto?

Since I'm going to be spending the money, I don't want to be disappointed. Any details/info would be appreciated. Thanks for your input/advice.

Whipple is what I have and with the same kit you have! (looks great). Contact whipple direct but I am sure you can get the whipple H.O. for the auto trans you have.....can it handle the power?......IMO yes! (PM me for link to good article). Get the Whipple HO for automatics. It comes with a 7 psi pulley.
I think it would be safe, and has the potential to increase whenever you beef up your tranny and rotating assembly.

I agree get the Whipple HO auto trans kit with 7 psi pulley. Or get the whipple HO and run an 8psi pulley with custom tune.

Isn't the Roush a roots-type blower? I'd definetly go with a twin-screw blower over a roots-type.

You can't go wrong with Whipple,Saleen or Kenne Bell.
They are all good blowers.
The Roush is a boat anchor.
