I barely touch the clutch, but I don't try to shift without it.
I have had times where I can't get the shifter into the third position, even putting the clutch to the floor. This happened a handful of timess, and usually on hard exceleration. I put the car in neutral, let out clutch, then try third again and it will be there.

Could be the convertible chassis has more tendancy to shift, I don't know.
I am considering the CHE K-Member brace with torque limiters as my next mod.

i tried, didn't work. got a lot of negative feedback in the shifter and a grindy sound. so after that i was like i'm done with that.

so torque limiter and mgw shifter. i'll try those. going to the track in a few minutes so i guess i'm just gonna have to shift letting off the gas.

............ok now wait just a minute here,....................I bought mine just to bang thru the gears, don't get me wrong, I like the way she looks, but jamin thru the gears is sex on wheels............. You might want to try that again.

Uhh, yeah. He's got a stock shifter, you've got a hurst.

I could rig up a used sneaker, a flathead screwdriver, some bubble-gum and some 200-mile-an-hour tape and it'd work better than the stock shifter...

To perform a power shift, keep the gas pedal on the floor (instead of lifting) while pushing in the clutch. At the same time, quickly shift to the next gear. Quickly re-engage ("pop") the clutch as soon as the new gear is selected.
