will they contact us, if we need this done?

I got a phone call from my dealer last week saying my Mustang is part of that recall. I plan on taking it in this week. What's so weird is this is the 3rd Ford Vehicle that I have had to take in for recalls within the last month. I need to check on the other two Ford cars I own.
If you want you can type in your VIN # and see if your car is on the list. Click on the link below;

RE: Got My Recall Done Today,
Just had my car in the dealer this morning for the Airbag recall. Like the OP said - they reflash the RCM (not the PCM). No affect on our custom tunes. Took 1 hr in and out while I waited. I did not return to stock and the dealer didn't say a word about all the mods.

RE: Got My Recall Done Today,
I took my car into the dealership today to get the recall fixed. They told me that I was the first airbag recall they had done, and to be patient, they didnt know how long it would take. 10 minutes later they were done. Seemed alittle weird to me. anyone else only take a few minutes to complete? and is there a way to actually check and see if they really did fix the airbad, besides actually deploying it?

RE: Got My Recall Done Today,
Does anyone know if the RCM port is the same for the PCM? I'm dropping my car off at the dealership the night before, so I plan on putting a sticky note on the dash right above the port saying "DO NOT FLASH/REPROGRAM PCM". I don't want to confuse them or raise any unnecessary questions.

im not doing the recall.... i rarely have a passenger but, most importantly, I'd rather not have monkeys touching my car.... I don't want to do the recall then end up having to go back for dents, scrapes, and other breaks the carelessly cause.
Thanks for the info though

RE: Got My Recall Done Today,
The recall is because in a crash test the passenger front airbag failed to meet the requirement for a 5 percentile (whatever that means) female sitting with the seat all the way forward and unrestrained!
