Default CAI installation timing re: dyno tune

What is the sequence of events once I have the part? How do I get a baseline dyno if the part is installed and tuned with the SCT? Do I dyno the car stock, have the shop put in the CAI, and then dyno it again?

Do I need to do a baseline dyno?

I would really rather save the labor of the CAI install, but I want your feedback.

Thanks.

Greg

I greatly encourage you to go ahead and do a baseline dyno while the car is in stock form. You don't have to do it, but it will really help you to understand the gains you are getting. So dyno it bone stock, then do the mods and dyno it again.

Can I dyno the car with only 150 miles on it or should I wait?

I would wait till 1-1.5K and after your first oil change.. You dont want them red line the engine with tons of metal particals. [:-]

Yeah, I'd wait til the car has around 500-700 miles to do a baseline dyno.

Thanks.

I will be around 250 miles by Friday and will run the car around this weekend. I would suspect next weekend will get me into the 500-700 range and will coincide with my parts coming in.

Baseline dyno is on the docket then for about 1.5 weeks from now.
