I ordered my 05 GT with the Shaker 500 but I have not heard what they sound like. I currently have an 02 V6 with a Mach 460 and I like the way it sounds. I haven't had any problems with the Mach at all except I had one speaker replaced after about 4 months.

My question is, how does the Shaker 500 compare to the Mach 460?

I have read the complaints about the Shaker... ( I didnt order one with mine), But I had a Mach MP3 and I have to have it replaced 3 times... Disks getting stuck inside (failed ejection) was the biggest problem... And no it was not the disk I was using... the dealership tried to run that line of crap on me too...

The Shaker 500 souds just like the Mach 460. People are having problems with it skipping and spitting out CDs for no reason.

I would figure that since the Shaker has the subs in the doors, it would sound better than the Mach and the Mach is only a 6 speaker system. They say the Shaker is a 8 speaker system.

They are both listed as 8 speaker systems. The speakers in the back count as two because they is a tweeter and a low on each side. The subs in the door are the same as the 460.
