I'm not sure what you can do with it? Isn't the film where the light shines through green? Any ideas? I was thinking about maybe trying a really blue light and see what that does?

I did mine a while ago so not sure but I just took the bulb out because I didn't know what else to do. It's a different type of bulb though. Difficult to explain without seeing it. Not sure if I ever shined a flashlight in it to see if there was film over it or the bulb is just green.

Man, that's a lot of work! Awesome write up!

Luckily, my 2010 came with the Ambient Lighting package (dash, speedo, front and rear footwells, door sills, etc), so I can change all of my LED colors seperately (dash different from others, or vice versa).

Show off!! (wish we had that though)

I'm thinking that the bulb could be some sort of "Neo-Wedge" bulb, so I will take a look tomorrow and measure it and see what light I can shed on the matter!! (no pun intended)

So, has anyone managed to figure out how to disassemble the headlight switch housing so that it is possible to sand down the green film that is on there??

That's the one light I didn't mind staying Green. It didn't bother me, I pretend it's more like a GREEN means on light rather than just an interior light...

I have ordered a new light for it that is ultra blue so I'll see how that turns out.... if it doesn't have the desired application, I think I'll just leave it green! Like you say, it's not directly in display view so not a major issue.

Okay, so I received my Neo-Wedge bulb today and got it in place, it makes a difference, however, the green film is strong and makes the color a Blue/green which I am happy with.

I have the Fog light switch housing where it just seems impossible to take apart so that you can sand the green film off the lighting. If anyone has any other input on how to take it apart, I'm all ears!!!!!

Can't you just drill out the little green area and let un obstructed light through? or would it be to piercing?

Seems a little scary and drastic! I'll stick with my Blue/Green!
