I am running BFG KDW tires on Shelby Redlines 20X8.5 with 245/35ZR20 and 20X10 with 285/30ZR20. I really am happy with the look and performance. But, remember that the lower the side wall the more road your gonna feel. Despite that it rides surprizingly well Just keep an eye out for potholes.....

gjs14, it really just depends on if your car is lowered or not. For example, look at my signature picture. And I'm running the same exact size tires as mellowyellow06. Notice the gap in my wheel wells compared to his...( I don't want to lower my car because of the jacked up paving where I live, and I want to get a new front end, so I know it will end up scraping.) However, I've seen pictures of guys running a 295/40/20 and a 255/40/20 combo and I personally think it looks good. It fills out the wheel well without having to alter the suspension at all.
Heres how I see it, lowering your mustang and putting low profile tires makes it look more like a sleek euro-type race car or even sorta like the GT racing circuits. (Think Porshe, Ferrari, etc...) But a higher profile tire seems to give your car a meaner, old-school type muscle look. So really it depends on the look you want and whether you want to lower your car.

RE: 20" tire size for my foose wheels
I dont want to lower my car either so I was thinking about getting these;
255/35/20 - 27" tall, .2" less than stock approx $110 per tire
275/40/20 - 28.8" tall, 1.6" taller than stock approx $140 per tire
My car is a DD with a blower so I will go through tires kind of fast so buying $450 tires wont happen.
And I have some pics of cars with those sizes and I think it looks good too. It fill the rear wheel well and adds to the raked appearance.

I ordered 255/35/20 up front and 285/30/20 out back. The car is not lowered, but it's got the Cervini's side exit exhaust (err - it will in a week or two when I get it back from the body shop). Depending on how it looks when I get the wheels/rubber on, I might go with different rubber next season. 305/35/20 DR's out back maybe, and something a little taller up front. We'll see.

Good website for comparing sizes...you can get ideas of different wheel diameters
