hey guys..

first off.. heres a recent shot of my interior










ok so heres my idea...

everything on the inside is pretty much black expcept the hurst, and the chrome and silver on the vents and the chrome edges on the dash

my idea is to take the vents, and the silver angeled peice off, and paint them wiht a semi flat black.. and leave the chrome rings..

i hvae no dought that it would come out good, and possibly paint the silver on the steering wheel also.. but that was all a package from the dealer, and i dont know if its worth it to paint it..

heres another thought.. what if i went to a junk yard and snatched some from stocker or base 6er or even gt..

the entire reason i got this idea is becuase.. it just doesnt look right IMO.. should be black.. and on "oneeyedwilly's" car at the meet this past weekend, his interior was base.. and i mean base.. but it looked SOOOO much better IMO.. even jeff (blackout) agreed..

so if i paint those things, but leave the chrome it would still hve that classy chrome and go with the shaft of the hurst, but have the blacked out look..


AND ALSO.. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A "HOW TO" ON REMOVING JUST THOSE VENTS AND PLASITN EXTENSION THINGS?

If you wanna blackout everything but the chrome, might I suggest a Bullitt Steering Wheel? (comes without the center emblem)



and also a black ball for the Hurst would be a must

ya i have seen the bullit wheel in person.. love it.. along with the gt500 wheel.. BUT DAMN.. i dont have 2-300 for a steering wheel right now.. but i DO loveee the little grips on those sterring wheels for your thumbs/hands

if you like it go for it but i like the way it has the silver across the gauges and vents better, but the all black is cool and i think with you color car it would look good
