Default HIGH IDLE on COLD START

Quick Question - My 2006 GT idles at 2,000rpm when started COLD, then gradually evens out at 500rpm when warmed up.[] Is there a way to tell the "choke" to ease off during the warmup so the car doesn't sound like it's ready to blow? Isn't it just a quick computer adjustment, or are ALL GTs like this? Thanks for any info!!

Isn't that pretty much a common thing with almost all cars? I know my Ford Expedition also does the same thing.

Same here. I don't think its quite 2k rpm's, more like 1500-1800 max, then after a few mins, it goes to 1000 then 800 or so. No big deal to me, doesn't sound like its gonna "blow up". Warms up the engine, and heats up the cats to work right.

Mine used to cold idle at 2000rpm. I had Brent at Brenspeed adjust my tune so it's only about 1200rpm now...settles down to 850rpm.

I don't see why people get in such a frenzy over this. All cars do this only difference is you hearing an actual motor vs the V-6 or I4 in your camry.
